Chickamauga police arrested Charles Clyde Edwards on April 18, after receiving a tip claiming Edwards was dealing drugs while in the parking lot of the Dollar General Store in Chickamauga.
Edwards was arrested by Chickamauga police in October 2007 for the distribution of a large amount of marijuana.
Edwards was arrested again on April 18 by Chickamauga Police Chief Michael Haney.
Haney found several unprescribed pills and pill halves in Edwards’ possession.
Various Xanax and hydrocodone tablets were found in a bottle that was not prescribed to Edwards. Edwards claimed to have received the drugs from a “guy in Chattanooga.”
Edwards was taken into custody and transported to the Walker County jail.
He was charged with purchase, possession and manufacture (or sale of a controlled substance) of hydrocodone and Xanax.
All the tablets were taken into evidence for case file and drug ID through the crime lab.
